Fall Fun with Jessie!
On this episode of life with Jessie, we’re going to talk about my favorite season: FALL! Personally, I believe there is nothing better than fall in Colorado, and I’m going to prove it to you today by sharing my top 5 fall things to do in Colorado!
1. Plan a “leaf peeping” adventure! This is what we call driving up to the mountains to see all the fall colors of the aspens and such. This blog is a great resource for finding the best routes and spots for leaf peeping like Kenosha Pass, Kebler Pass, and Independence Pass.
2. Go to Harvest Festivals! As long as there are drinks to keep us warm, shopping to keep us busy, and games for us to play, I’m happy! If you do a little Googling, I bet you can find a Fall Festival or Harvest Festival near you that will make you feel like you’re on an episode of Parks & Rec!
3. Concerts always in my top five no matter what time of year, but a Red Rocks concert in the fall is pretty magical! Even if you don’t live in Colorado, it’s worth planning a trip to see a band you love at the Red Rocks!
4. Hit the pumpkin patch! We’re planning a family outing to take my nephew to a pumpkin patch! Nicks Garden Center and Farm Market is our favorite. They’re having a great Fall Fest this month!
5. Host your own Halloween party, DUH! Halloween has always been a big deal in our family — we go all out every year! My brother and sister-in-law host a big party with lots of friends and family. We usually do a family theme, and this year is Harry Potter, which I've never seen. I know, I know, it’s bad. But somehow I got chosen to be Moaning Myrtle? So if you see a girl with a toilet around her neck . . . that’s me. And yes, you can follow me on Instagram to make sure you see this costume!
My parents have always made Halloween fun and special because it’s when they had their first kiss years ago at a party. So sweet, right? The rest is history for them so that’s a big reason it’s been such a fun holiday!
No matter where you live, I hope you make some time to enjoy this beautiful time of year with some fun fall activities near you!
