You could probably have guessed that my favorite part of each holiday season is the MUSIC! There’s something so special about Christmas music. Every song takes me right back to a sweet memory or even just my favorite movies that make me laugh! Here are a few of my favorite Christmas songs that you can add to your rotation. If you’re coming in for hair extensions in December, you’re guaranteed to hear one of these on my record player!
“Hard Candy Christmas” by Dolly Parton
Kenny and Dolly’s Christmas albums are by far my favorites to listen to this time of year. I would say they’re both legends, am I right?
“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Kenny G
This song always reminds me of the scene in Miracle on 34th Street when he proposes. It’s so romantic and warms my heart.
“Ribbon And Bows” by Kacey Musgraves
Y’all know I love my girl Kacey Musgraves! This song makes me want to dance and sing along.
“Mele Kalikimaka” by Bing Crosby
I don’t even think I need to say what movie this song reminds me of! Are there any other Clark Griswald fans out there??
“Christmas Was Here” by Smithfield
Jen and Trey just released this song and I LOVE IT! Fun fact: I had the honor of doing hair and makeup for Jennifer Fielder for the American Country Music Awards in 2019. Ah, the pre-COVID days!
“Silver Bells” by Love and Theft
I adore the way these guys harmonize together! About ten years ago, I had the opportunity to cut Stephen's hair on their tour bus before they opened for Tim McGraw! It was such a cool experience, and over the years I’ve developed a great friendship with Stephen. They’re super fun, down to earth guys!
“Away In A Manger” by Carrie Underwood
Who doesn’t love powerhouse singer Carrie Underwood?! She gives me chills every time I hear her new Christmas album The Gift.
“You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra
I had to add this to the playlist because it’s from my favorite Christmas movie, Elf! I get a good chuckle out of it every time it plays.
